Construction date confirmed

 This is the site of our future house, which will face those trees.  We are currently standing on what will be the driveway into the garage.  Construction is expected to begin August 24th.

A recap of everything so far

 

We decided to take the leap and build a new home.  We chose Ryan Homes and a brand new townhouse community being built called Cedar Hills.  We're still finalizing several details.   Today we're finishing up our decisions regarding lighting, phone and cable connections.  We decided to add several more ceiling fan roughins to both of the kids rooms and the study.  We also added LED lights to the study as well.  This was an easier decision for us since we axed the powder room for the first floor which saved us nearly $4k.  We also had to choose the color of the kitchen backsplash and ended up choosing white over 'bone'.  Tomorrow we have our first preconstruction  meeting with our rep Ryan.  So far we're really happy with the experience of buying and building this home.  The Mozart model was affordable for us and it provided a two car garage which is very appealing.
